- The Guild is an association of artists, designers and makers who are selected for the quality and originality of their work. Set up in 1986, it was established to provide a support network for professional artists who are self employed, creating and selling their own designs. The Guild chooses its members for special qualities of originality and excellence in their work and design. Many members exhibit throughout Great Britain and abroad, some having their own workshops that the public can visit and purchase unique items. Other members display and sell their work in galleries and craft shops. Commissions are undertaken by many artists and craftmakers, ensuring the client a one-of-a-kind design to be enjoyed for a lifetime or given as a gift for a special occasion.
